The Kenyon Mathematics Department Presents:
"The Mathematics of Juggling"
A lecture/demonstration by Professor Peter F. Blanchard of Denison
University
4:10 p.m. Thursday, October 12, Storer Hall
The ancient art of juggling was recently revolutionized by the
introduction of a system of notation and an elegant mathematical
theory. These new ideas led, among other things, to the discovery by
computer of simple previously unknown juggling patterns that quickly
found their way to professional juggling performances worldwide. Come
see these new ideas explained and demonstrated!!!
