About the Program:
Project Assessment

As two institutions well versed and focused on teaching, we believe it essential to conduct a careful ongoing evaluation of the program. Kenyon and Denison are well positioned to carry out such an assessment, since several faculty from both institutions specialize in the assessment of cognitive processes in the classroom. We intend to engage them, along with outside reviewers, in a thorough examination of the program and the changes in teaching methods, course design. and student learning experiences resulting from the use of new technologies.

Our assessment program will take place at two levels: survey-based quantitative information, and subjective data that we can gather by virtue of the close interpersonal nature of our work. The quantitative evaluation will be conducted against baseline data to be gathered early in the project. This aspect of our assessment will provide useful data that will inform the more extensive and more important qualitative evaluation of the program.
